Cheltenham Town have completed the signing of central midfielder Elliot Bonds on a season-long loan from Hull City.

The 20-year-old becomes Michael Duff’s sixth summer addition and third loan signing of the transfer window, joining West Bromwich Albion duo Finn Azaz and Josh Griffiths in making a temporary switch to the Jonny-Rocks Stadium.

Bonds joined the Tigers in 2019 after impressing on a trial for their Under-23 side, signing from non-league Dagenham & Redbridge, where he holds the record as their youngest ever senior player.

As well as playing in the National League for the Daggers, Bonds had a spell on loan at Farnborough Town during the 2018/19 season.

The Guyana international has also represented his country at a young age, including playing all three matches in their 2019 CONCACAF Gold Cup campaign, which included a game against the USA national team.

Bonds made the first team bench for former Robin Grant McCann’s Hull in the Championship  last season and follows in the footsteps of Jacob Greaves and Max Sheaf, who spent 2019/20 on loan from the East Yorkshire outfit after joining last summer.

You can now sponsor Bonds’ home or away kit for the 2020/21 campaign. Please contact Luke.Saunders@ctfc.com about player sponsorship – click here for more information.
