Broom completes transfer to Peterborough United

24 August 2020

Ryan Broom has today completed a transfer to Peterborough United for an undisclosed fee.

The Welshman moves to the League One club on a three-year deal after two seasons at the Jonny-Rocks Stadium.

In that time he has made 88 appearances in all competitions for the club scoring 12 times.

He capped a fantastic 2019/20 season with eight goals and eight assists as he helped the Robins reach the League Two play-offs, while also scooping three prizes during the club's online End of Season Awards as the MIRA Player of the Season, Norwegian Robins Player and Players' Player of the Season.

Signed from Bristol Rovers in the summer of 2018, he has excelled as a wing back and as an attacking midfielder in Michael Duff's set-up.

He has been an ever present in the starting XI and could now make his first appearance for his new club against Cheltenham when we travel to the Weston Homes Stadium in the Carabao Cup first round on 5 September.

Everyone at Cheltenham Town wishes Broomy all of the best for the future and we thank him for his service in his time at the Jonny-Rocks Stadium.
