Gloucester Rugby's Jason Woodward joins in with the NHS head shave fundraiser

8 April 2020

Cheltenham Town's head shave fundraiser to raise money for the NHS during the coronavirus pandemic has seen rugby union side Gloucester Rugby join in the quest to raise crucial money.

Gloucester's very own Jason Woodward has shaved his head and challenged Cheltenham's Will Boyle and two of his Gloucester teammates, Ed Slater and James Hanson, to take on the head shave if the total reaches £5,000.

It has passed the £4,700 mark thanks to the kind donations of supporters on the Crowdfunder page who have been backing the Robins players idea to raise money to show support for the Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and the incredible work they are doing on the front line during the current pandemic.

A recent auction, which came to an end on Monday, also raised a fantastic £1,147 that's been added into the overall total.

You can watch a video of Gloucester's Jason Woodward taking on the shave on our Twitter and Facebook pages.
