Reaction: Greaves on Crewe

29 September 2019

Jacob Greaves felt Cheltenham Town should have taken all three points in Saturday's 1-1 draw with Crewe Alexandra.

The Hull City loanee produced an excellent performance in what was his eleventh showing for the club in all competition since he signed on loan from the Tigers.

He believed the Robins deserve more from their performance on Saturday, especially with the late pressure Michael Duff's charges applied on the Crewe goal.

"After the game I think it's two points dropped instead of a point gained," he said. "They've gone down to ten men and in 20 minutes they've gone down to ten men we've had the majority of the ball - we just couldn't create that goal scoring opportunity.

"I think we had quite a few chances to get the three points but the 'keeper has made a few good saves. The gaffer has come in there and said the 'keeper was their best player, which says it all really.

"We feel like it's two points dropped but it's a point and we'll go again next week."

The defender will be looking to help Cheltenham make it three straight away wins when the Robins travel to Oldham Athletic next Saturday.

Tickets and away travel for the game at Boundary Park are on sale on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday this week from the ticket office at the Jonny-Rocks Stadium.
