Reaction: Flinders on Plymouth

22 September 2019

Goalkeeper Scott Flinders made it back-to-back away clean sheets with a stand out performance against Plymouth Argyle on Saturday.

The experienced shot-stopper kept Plymouth's attack at bay with a number of crucial stops to help the Robins secure a 2-0 win at Home Park.

After the game Flinders spoke to the media and revealed just how much energy and application it required to get the win.

"There are a lot of tired bodies in there," Flinders said. "Fans probably think that we're going crazy in the changing rooms - I can tell you for the lads it was like we lost because everyone is so out on their feet and put one hell of a performance in against a really good side - a team that will be up there come the end of the season.

"We knew before the game a Ryan Lowe team got promoted last season with Bury so we knew it was going to be a hard task.

"First half it was backs against the walls, but second half the gaffer got into us at half time and we showed the performances that have been home and away this season. It's a brilliant three points but onto the next one now."
