Preview: Tozer on Plymouth

20 September 2019

Ben Tozer is relishing the opportunity to take on his hometown club on Saturday when Cheltenham make the trip to Devon to take on Plymouth Argyle.

The defender was a part of the youth set-up at Argyle until he made the switch to Swindon Town as a youngster.

He is excited to play in front of the friends and family who will be in the stands at Home Park and against a team boasting a talented squad at this level.

"You look at the likes of the players they've got," Tozer said. "Their manager got promotion from the league last year and took players from that promotion winning side. They already had a good squad there. It is going to be a tough place to go.

"Personally I love playing the bigger teams in the big stadiums and the big atmospheres - if you don't you're in the wrong job really.

"There have been a few times this year where we've had knock-backs and we've responded really well which has been good to see. Hopefully we can do that away from home a bit more now because we've lost two away from home 1-0. It's time to respond from them and see how that goes."
