Preview: Duff on Bradford City

16 September 2019

Robins boss Michael Duff has made it clear where he thinks Tuesday opponents Bradford City's threats lie ahead of the clash between his side and the Bantams at the Jonny-Rocks Stadium.

Bradford boast an experienced forward line that includes former Premier League attacker James Vaughan and Clayton Donaldson, who himself has plenty of Championship experience.

The former Premier League outfit are also managed by ex-Blackburn Rovers boss Gary Bowyer, someone who Duff respects from his time in the game.

"They are a big club at this level," he said. "I think they've got 15,000 season tickets so its a proper football club.

"I know Gary quite well - a good manager who knows how to get out of the division. There's good experience in their team as well, particularly the front two - the level that they've played at and the clubs that they've played for. Make no mistake it's going to be a difficult game.

"They can hurt you in different sorts of ways. They do like putting balls in the box which you'd be foolish not to with those two in the team.

"They can both hold it up, they're both a threat in the air, they can both run in behind - Vaughan more so than Donaldson.

"They are a good team so we know that we've got to be properly at it Tuesday and then Saturday as well but first and foremost on Tuesday night."
