Lawrence teams up with Tuffley

6 September 2019

Second year scholar Isaac Lawrence has joined Tuffley Rovers on loan.

The defender has linked up with the Hellenic Premier Division outfit and made his debut in their impressive 3-2 away win over Shrivenham on Tuesday night.

Lawrence has been a part of the set-up at Cheltenham since joining the club as an under-15s player.

He joins a Tuffley side that includes Tyreece Briscoe, who spent time on loan at Tuffley last season while also a second year scholar at the Jonny-Rocks Stadium. Tuffley also include 17-year-old Robins development goalkeeper Alex Avenell in their set-up.

Lawrence is the younger brother of former Robins winger Jamal, who also came through the academy system at the club, and the nephew of one time Gloucestershire and England fast bowler David 'Syd' Lawrence.

You can read an interview with Isaac discussing his loan move and his time at the club next week.
