Ladies: Looking to maintain great start

20 September 2019

One week after securing a fantastic away win down in Hampshire against Southampton Women, Cheltenham Town Ladies make the trip south again on Sunday to take on Southampton FC Ladies.

Alex Cheal's side face the second of back-to-back away games in Southampton looking to build on what has been an excellent start to the new season.

The Robins are joint top of the FA Women's National League Division One South West with this Sunday's opponents having taken 13 points from their opening five league fixtures.

Last Sunday goals from Annie Martin and substitute Charlotte Criddle earned the Ladies a fantastic 2-0 win and they'll be tested again in another tough away outing this weekend.

They will make the trip boosted by recent signings Robyn Levett - a goalkeeper who has come in having previously been on the books at Watford - and full back Kirsten Rendall. She's made the switch to Cheltenham from last season's league champions Keynsham Town.
