Cheltenham Town's second half performance against Macclesfield Town earned high praise from Robins boss Michael Duff.

Ahead at the break thanks to a late Luke Varney goal in the first half, Duff's side took command of the second 45 minutes and made it eight unbeaten in League Two with a noteworthy victory.

Further second half strikes from Conor Thomas and Ryan Broom reflected the control Cheltenham had in the second half and Duff highlighted the way his team played in the second 45 minutes when speaking to the media post-match.

"I thought the first half was tight," he commented. "They're not bad Macclesfield. You look at their record and I said before the game they've got the same record as Plymouth going into the game. They've definitely improved.

"There was probably one real moment of quality got us our noses in front but second half I think we were excellent.

"They looked a bit punched-drunk at the end of the last ten minutes. We'd moved them about all over the place."
