Reaction: Broom on Oldham Athletic

6 October 2019

With his fifth goal of the season helping Cheltenham come from behind to earn a point at Oldham Athletic on Saturday, Ryan Broom once again played a major part in helping the Robins continue the team's impressive start to the League Two season.

The Welshman finished off a Conor Thomas ball into the box to make sure the trip back to Gloucestershire carried a point to add to the club's total points tally so far.

After registering in front of goal once again he spoke to the media after the match.

"I think it's a good point," he said. "All of the lads can be proud of their performance.

"It was nice to get on the score sheet and get a point for the team.

"I think we were the better team on the day but you don't always win the match being the better team.

"All of the lads are fairly happy with the result and their performances."

The Robins are next in action on Tuesday evening at the Jonny-Rocks Stadium when West Ham United under-21s are the visitors in the Leasing.com Trophy group stages.

Tickets are available to buy online for the match, which kicks off at 7.45pm, as well as from the turnstiles on the night.
