Midfield man Conor Thomas is expecting a more technical test this evening when West Ham United under-21s are the visitors to the Jonny-Rocks Stadium.

Cheltenham play their second Leasing.com Trophy fixture of the season, but the club's first at home, against the young Hammers.

Thomas appeared in the first outing at Exeter City at the beginning of September and is eyeing up a different type of challenge for the squad tonight.

"They tend to want to play out more and they are all good players. They're all technically gifted," he said.

"It is a different test. You come up against some League Two teams and they're big strong and physical so it is a different test but it's still going to be a tough game - we know that.

"We've got a strong squad so it's a good opportunity for lads to get minutes. A few lads have been injured so Boyley [Will Boyle] will be back in which is good.

"It's another game of football. We want to win games and with that it gives us momentum."
