Loan watch: Stanton makes Sutton Coldfield debut

28 October 2019

The wet weather over the course of the weekend put paid to a whole raft of fixtures, but there were still Cheltenham Town players in action for their loan sides.

For a second week in a row Dan Bowry helped Bath City to a 1-0 win in the National League South.

The Antigua & Barbuda international appeared in his first home game at Twerton Park and made it back-to-back clean sheets for Jerry Gill's side.

He also almost got on the score sheet, hitting the bar from an Adam Mann cross.

Second year scholar Charlie Stanton (pictured) made his debut for Sutton Coldfield Town in the FA Trophy on Saturday.

The striker came off the bench for his new loan club, who pulled off an upset defeating Northern Premier League side Stafford Rangers 2-1.

Archie Brennan's match for Alvechurch in the same competition against Peterborough Sports didn't survive the weather, while equally Grant Horton's game for Yate in the same competition against Tiverton Town was also postponed.

In the Hellenic Premier Division Isaac Lawrence's match for Tuffley Rovers against Burnham was called off.

Brennan and Horton will be in action on Tuesday in their rearranged Trophy ties. Lawrence could feature for Tuffley against Bishop's Cleeve on Tuesday in the Bluefin Sports Challenge Cup.
