Loan watch: Horton helps Yate to much needed win

Grant Horton helped Yate Town to a last gasp win over Hartley Wintney in the Southern Premier South on Tuesday evening.

The second year scholar (pictured) started for the South Gloucestershire side as they earned a much needed three points in their quest to get out of the relegation zone.

On Saturday fellow second year scholar Isaac Lawrence was also part of a winning side as he helped Tuffley Rovers to a handsome 4-1 win in the Hellenic Premier Division over Binfield.

Also featuring in the game as a substitute for Tuffley was Robins development youngster Jeremiah Idowu.

This weekend Horton's Yate team have a home game against Metropolitan Police, while Lawrence will be in action for Tuffley as they take on Holmer Green at home.

It was announced yesterday that first year professional Archie Brennan had linked up with Southern Premier Central outfit Alvechurch on loan. He makes the long journey with his new side to Needham Market this weekend.
