Loan watch: Brennan makes Alvechurch debut

15 October 2019

Three Robins youngsters were in loan action for their respective clubs on the weekend.

Archie Brennan made his debut for Alvechurch in the Southern Premier Central with a long trip to Suffolk.

His 'Church side earned a point in a 1-1 draw on the 3G surface at Needham Market.

Grant Horton helped Yate continue their recent upturn in form. He played 90 minutes for the Lodge Road outfit as they secured a last gasp win over Metropolitan Police with a 93rd minute winner.

Isaac Lawrence was also on the winning side for Tuffley Rovers in the Hellenic Premier Division.

The second year scholar was a part of a Tuffley side that defeated Holmer Green 2-1 at Glevum Park. Development player Jeremiah Idowu also featured as a substitute in the game.

Horton will line up again for Yate in midweek. He'll make the trip with his loan club down to Devon to take on Tiverton Town on Wednesday evening.

Brennan's next game for Alvechurch is scheduled for this Saturday when they take on St Ives Town.

Tuffley are not in action until 22 October so it's a free weekend for Lawrence that may see him included in the under-18s EFL Youth Alliance squad that is set to make the long journey to Plymouth Argyle on Saturday morning.
