FA Cup first round proper draw this evening

21 October 2019

Cheltenham Town will discover the club's FA Cup first round proper opponents this evening when the draw takes place live on BBC Two.

The Robins are ball number 10 in this evening's draw which is being conducted by Karen Carney and Jermaine Beckford. You can watch live on BBC Two from 7pm.

There are 32 non-league clubs that will progress from the weekend's fourth qualifying round games, while the 47 League One and League Two clubs enter the draw for the first time.

Due to Bury FC’s removal from the Football League and subsequently the FA Cup, there will be an odd number of clubs entering the draw.

As a result the final club left in the draw, that isn’t drawn to play in a tie in the first round proper, will receive an automatic bye to the second round proper and will also receive the prize fund payment applicable for the first round proper.

The first round proper is scheduled for the weekend of Saturday 9 November with winning clubs collecting £36,000 from The FA prize fund.
