Reuben Reid played 45 minutes for a strong reserve team side that won 3-1 at Reading on Tuesday afternoon.

The forward is yet to make an appearance this season after joining in the summer having had surgery on his knee during pre-season.

But he came through the first half of the win in Berkshire, as Cheltenham named eleven first team players in the matchday squad.

Rohan Ince also played a full game, while 15-year-old Harvey Skurek from the club's under-16s squad featured at left wing back.

Cheltenham went ahead on 20 minutes when Chris Clements put the side in front.

It was 2-0 a minute into the second half. Jonte Smith replaced Reid at half time and made an instant impact scoring within 60 seconds.

A Robins third came through Alex Addai on 49 minutes.

Max Sheaf also earned 45 minutes of game time, playing in the second half as a substitute for second year scholar Grant Horton.

RESERVES: Lovett, Brennan, Bowry, Horton (Sheaf 46), Boyle (T Lawrence 80), Skurek (Chamberlain 70), Clements, Ince, Addai, Reid (Smith 46), Lloyd
