Robins boss Michael Duff is under no illusions how difficult this Saturday's home FA Cup second round fixture with Port Vale will be.

In a second all League Two tie for his side in this year's competition, Vale are only three points behind Cheltenham in the top half of the table as they look to push to be in amongst the play-off places.

This weekend's first meeting of the season will see league form go out the window though as both sides battle it out to progress to the third round and a potential big draw, with Premier League and Championship teams entering the competition for the first time.

"They've been excellent this year," Duff said. "They are three points behind us but got beat on Saturday. I think that was their first defeat in six.

"They've been on a good run, they've got a way of playing - they're organised and fit.

"Similarly to ourselves they've been much improved this season. We're under no illusions - we've drawn our last three games so we have to be better with the ball than we were last week and hopefully be as resilient defensively."
