Michael Duff wants his Cheltenham Town side to make the most of Tuesday's rearranged fixture at Grimsby Town.
The original meeting between the two sides was postponed in late October because of a waterlogged surface.
A month on the two sides will be hoping the weather is more on side in what is one of the Robins games in hand in League Two.
Speaking to the press at the club's Monday morning press conference, Duff is looking for his side to make an impact on their travels against a club that since the postponed game have parted company with former boss Michael Jolley.
"We would have liked to have played them when the game was called off because we were in a really good run then and they were having a bit of a difficult time," Duff said.
"It is what it is. It was unplayable - there was no doubt about it. We go up there still on a decent run and we've got to go and back ourselves. People keep talking about the games in hand and this is one of them so it's a big marker.
"I went to watch them last week at Newport and they fought and they scrapped for everything. There are no easy games and we won't be going there naive enough to think that we can just rock up anywhere.
"I say it all the time because I believe in it. We need to be a hundred per cent fully at it, committed, and use the ball well to win the game."
