Chris Clements is hoping Cheltenham can take the quality of their performance on Saturday against Colchester United into Tuesday night's clash against one of his former clubs.
The Robins head north to Blundell Park to take on Grimsby Town, a side the 29-year-old represented for 18 months, looking to follow up Saturday's 1-1 home draw with Colchester United.
He was back in the starting XI for the visit of the U's to Gloucestershire and will be aiming to make his mark again on Tuesday evening when Cheltenham line up in North East Lincolnshire.
"We go there with a game plan, if we execute the game plan hopefully we come back with the three points," he said at today's press conference.
"With their manager going as well it's that time where a club hasn't got a proper manager they go out with a freedom and the ability to showcase what they do.
"We've just got to keep doing what we're doing. The game on Saturday we've done really well against a really good opposition that have been doing well this year - similar to us. That shows what we can do.
"Coming up against a team that's struggling I think they are going to fight a bit more. We've got to adjust to that and try and overcome it.
"With this being a game in hand as well it's a good chance for us to leap up the table again.
"We take every game as it comes. We'll prep for this game and put Saturday out of our minds until Thursday."
