Reaction: Boyle reflects on final day loss at Stevenage

4 May 2019

Cheltenham Town defender Will Boyle believes that the players need to address their away form next season after 2018/19 finished with a 2-0 loss at Stevenage.

Joe Martin and Jordan Gibson got the goals for the hosts after half-time and centre back Boyle admitted that Cheltenham's mentality on the road has to change to match the club's impressive home form going into next season.

"In the end we’ve done the job that we needed too with a few weeks left really, now it’s all about building for next season," said the 23-year-old.

"We think it’s a mentality thing. The standards have gone up so much and we’ve started to demand so much from each other. We’ve got to remember that it’s still a grass pitch and 11 v 11 players so it doesn’t matter where you’re playing.

"If we want to achieve what we want next season we have to get that away form in line with our home form."
