Raglan becomes a permanent Robin

14 May 2019

Following a successful loan spell, Cheltenham Town are delighted to announce the permanent signing of defender Charlie Raglan.

The 26-year-old has agreed a two-year contract to commit his future to the Robins until the summer of 2021.

Signed in January on a loan agreement from Oxford United, he has been an ever present in the final months of the campaign, making 19 appearances.

And now he has agreed a permanent move to the Jonny-Rocks Stadium, joining the likes of Scott Flinders, Archie Brennan, Chris Clements and Luke Varney in committing themselves to the club.

Beginning his career with Port Vale, Raglan spent time in non-league with Hinckley United, Nantwich Town and FC United of Manchester before moving back into League football at Chesterfield.

His form with the Spireites secured him a move to Oxford, initially on loan, then permanently, where he has remained until his loan move to Cheltenham in January. He was released at the end of his contract by Oxford last week.

"He is a good age and a good character. We think there's a lot more to come from him and we're very happy that he's part of our squad permanently moving forward."

Raglan's player sponsorship is available for the 2019/20 season. To find out more about becoming his player sponsor email luke.saunders@ctfc.com
