Leicester City to visit the Jonny-Rocks Stadium

28 May 2019

The 2016 Premier League champions, Leicester City, will visit the Jonny-Rocks Stadium for a pre-season friendly on Saturday 20 July.

Brendan Rodgers will bring his first team squad to Cheltenham as part of the Robins pre-season schedule ahead of the new League Two season.

The top flight Foxes, who finished 9th at the end of this year's Premier League campaign, will make the trip to Gloucestershire, bringing with them a squad that boasts a number of star names from both Premier League and international football.

Harry Maguire, Jamie Vardy and Ben Chilwell are among the England internationals in their squad, while goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel and attackers James Maddison and Kelechi Iheanacho also rank among some of the key figures in their set-up, which is led by former Liverpool and Celtic chief Brendan Rodgers.

It's the second pre-season fixture announced by the club ahead of the 2019/20 League Two campaign. Michael Duff's side will also take on Bristol Rovers on Saturday 27 July.
