Flinders delighted to extend Robins stay

6 May 2019

Goalkeeper Scott Flinders has recently committed himself to another two seasons at the Jonny-Rocks Stadium, having signed a new deal that will see him remain at Cheltenham Town until the summer of 2021.

The experienced shot-stopper agreed an extended contract last week that will see him continue his stay with Michael Duff's side.

He made 55 appearances in all competitions for Cheltenham this season and feels he's signed up to a project that is heading the right way.

"I'm absolutely delighted," he said. "It's personally been a good season. The club came to me towards the end of the season and made me an offer and it's an offer that I couldn't refuse.

"People can tell that the wheels are rolling in the right direction. It has been good to be part of a team that's going up. Hopefully that continues going into next season.

"We've still got things to work on but it's really exciting. I'm really excited to come back next season all guns blazing."
