Reaction: Duff on Bury draw

5 March 2019

Robins boss Michael Duff felt his side more than deserved the point they earned against high flying Bury.

Having lost 4-1 to the second place Shakers earlier in the season, Duff's charges demonstrated their vast improvement in his tenure by holding Ryan Lowe's outfit to a 1-1 draw at the Jonny-Rocks Stadium in tricky wet conditions.

Billy Waters equalised after Scott Wharton had headed Bury into the lead and Duff was pleased with how his team fought back and secured a share of the spoils.

"We had to weather a storm in the first ten minutes. They came out of the traps flying," said Duff after the game.

"It's difficult when you're in that goal because when you get penned in it's hard,  but to turn it around and to find a way of getting a result because at the end they had a bit of pressure but we've had a couple of good chances ourselves.

"We've hit the crossbar and Billy has had another couple of chances as well so it was definitely a hard earned point, but a deserved point."
