Preview: Duff on Notts County

7 March 2019

Robins boss Michael Duff has been keen to reiterate to his team of the threat that Notts County will carry when they visit the Jonny-Rocks Stadium on Saturday.

Notts currently sit bottom of League Two and the Robins secured a 3-0 victory when they last came head-to-head at Meadow Lane earlier in the season.

However Duff is well aware of the threat they carry as they look to battle their way out of relegation trouble, with Saturday's fixture another key matchday in their calendar.

Tuesday's 1-1 draw at home to Bury saw the Robins extend their unbeaten run at home, and that record will be tested once again against a Notts side who have picked up points against some of the best teams in the division in recent weeks.

"They've changed their team a lot since we last played them. They've brought a lot of new players in and they've had some good results recently as well," Duff said.

"They know they need to come and get a result, so be aware of the wounded animal.

"We remember when we were in that position - the fight and the drive we had to get out and they've got experienced players now so they'll have a little bit more knowhow.

"I think the three results in a row was Lincoln, Forest Green and Mansfield. They took seven points from the games. We've just played Mansfield so it goes to show you the performances they can produce so we need to be aware of that."
