Preview: Duff on Crewe

28 March 2019

A Crewe Alexandra side who have produced promotion form since the festive period awaits the Robins this weekend at Gresty Road, according to boss Michael Duff.

The Cheltenham chief feels his team will be challenged by a side who boast a good record since Christmas this weekend.

Crewe have picked up back-to-back wins with a 6-1 thrashing of Crawley and a noteworthy away victory over Mansfield last time out, and Duff knows they will be a tough side to beat.

"They are a good team at home," Duff said. "Logically they should win because we're not very good away from home and they're very good at home. Football isn't logical as we know, but I think they've improved massively.

"It was my first game actually Crewe. They've taken 28 points from 16 games since Boxing Day - that's promotion form.

"They are a good team and we need to be fully aware of that. They've probably improved as we have during the season."

Tickets and away travel for this weekend's match are available to purchase from the ticket office up to 3pm on Thursday and between 10am and 3pm on Friday. For information on prices and travel details click here.
