Preview: Barnett on Crewe

Following his goal against Northampton Town last weekend, experienced front man Tyrone Barnett is aiming to help the Robins wrestle another three points away from a League Two opponent when Cheltenham travel to Crewe Alexandra on Saturday.

Barnett netted the third of Michael Duff's sides three strikes against in form Northampton at the Jonny-Rocks Stadium.

Now he is hoping to be in among the goals again, and in a side that picks up three points, at Gresty Road on Saturday.

The 33-year-old has found the back of the net against Saturday's opponents while with Peterborough United and Macclesfield and would relish the opportunity to add to that record in a Robins jersey.

"They are a few places higher than us but we back ourselves against teams higher up the table. We are a good team, we play good football, we'll prepare and go to them trying to get three points," Barnett told the media on Thursday.

"I've been there a few times and scored a few goals there - it's a nice place to go for me personally.

"It is down to our gaffer and our staff really to come up with a plan and it's down to our players to execute it. I'm sure they will have done their homework and gone to see how Crewe play and how they think we can combat that - they'll bring us the strategy and it's down to the players to execute it."

Tickets and away travel for Saturday's fixture are available to buy from the ticket office today until 3pm. For pricing information click here. Tickets can also be bought on the day at the match.
