Robins first teamers Will Boyle and Scott Flinders joined the Community Trust at Springbank Primary Academy this afternoon on World Poetry Day.
The Trust have been working very closely with the school over the last 18 months and are one of the many institutions partnered through the Premier League Primary Stars project.
The Community coaches were joined by both players as they delivered a question and answer session with Year 4 and 5, which was followed by a sports themed poetry competition.
Boyle and Flinders went round the classrooms to help inspire ideas for the poems and some of the children then read theirs out afterwards.
All children that completed a poem received a signed match day programme and each class also received a free poetry book bag to add to their school library.
