Cheltenham Town are delighted to confirm the signing of striker Reuben Reid who has joined the club on a free transfer.
The 30-year-old has agreed a one-year contract with an option for a second year dependent on appearances.
He becomes the club's third summer signing alongside Charlie Raglan and former teammate Tahvon Campbell, and brings a wealth of Football League goal scoring experience to an exciting attacking department.
Previously at Plymouth Argyle, Rotherham United, Exeter City and West Bromwich Albion, the front man has notched over 130 career goals and moves to the Jonny-Rocks Stadium having spent the past 18 months at Forest Green.
He helped the Nailsworth outfit reach last season's League Two play-offs, and has now made the switch across the county having agreed to join a Cheltenham side he has featured regularly against in the past.
"As always with coming to somewhere new I'm quite excited," Reid said after signing his new contract. "I want to get the boots on as it were and join in with the lads. I'm generally excited at another new challenge in my career," Reid said.
"The manager and the way he spoke and the amount of ambition he showed in terms of speaking to me and wanting to get me here is why I wanted to do it.
"It's been a long journey and I can take a lot from all of the places I've been at. It's all helped and added to things that have aided my football career."
The Bristol born forward can also name the likes of Brentford, Peterborough United, Yeovil, Oldham Athletic and Walsall among his former sides.
He will link up with the squad when they return to pre-season training at the end of the week.
Keep an eye out on the club website for a full interview with Reid discussing his transfer.
His away shirt sponsorship is also now available. If you're interested in sponsoring the club's latest summer arrival get in contact with Luke Saunders by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org or ring 01242 588110.
