Cheltenham Town bring in Tahvon Campbell

14 June 2019

Cheltenham Town can announce the signing of exciting attacker Tahvon Campbell on a two-year deal.

The 22-year-old, who started his career at West Bromwich Albion, will form a part of the Robins forward line heading into the new 2019/20 League Two campaign having ended last season with League One side Gillingham.

He spent time on loan up a league with the Gills from Forest Green - a team of whom he scored twice for against Cheltenham last season.

A speedy front man who has gained a reputation for putting opposition defenders under pressure with his running and direct approach, Campbell has represented a vast number of clubs in loan spells having come through the ranks at West Brom.

He's enjoyed stints at Kidderminster Harriers, Yeovil Town (twice), Notts County and Solihull Moors.

Speaking about his decision to put pen to paper at the Jonny-Rocks Stadium, Campbell said:

"I'm really pleased to get it all done. I think this is going to be the perfect place for me to really show people what I can do.

"I want to nail down a starting place in the team and kick on. Speaking with the manager is what really got me into signing here."

Campbell will link up with his new teammates when they return for pre-season training at the end of the month.

Home and away shirt sponsorship for Cheltenham's second summer signing is now available.
