Carabao Cup round one opponents revealed

20 June 2019

Following this evening's Carabao Cup round one southern section draw, Cheltenham Town have been drawn to face League One side Bristol Rovers.

The match will take place at the Pirates Memorial Stadium in the week commencing 12 August.

It'll be the first ever League Cup meeting between the two clubs. The last time the two clubs faced one another was in February 2014 in a League Two clash where Rovers came out on top winning 1-0.

Managed by Graham Coughlan, Rovers are also pre-season opponents at the Jonny-Rocks Stadium in July.

Last season the Robins reached the second round of the competition. After a penalty shootout victory over fellow League Two side Colchester United in the first round, a trip to Championship outfit Brentford ended in a 1-0 defeat at Griffin Park.

For ticket details related to this game keep an eye on the club website for when information is confirmed with the club's round one opponents.
