Alex Cheal's Cheltenham Town Ladies side are continuing their preparations for the new FA Women's National League Division One South West campaign during pre-season.
The Ladies ran out 3-2 winners over Redditch United Women at the DN Fire Stadium thanks to an Ella Hitchcox brace and a first half goal from Becky Wilkins on Sunday.
Cheal's team are looking to improve even further on a positive 2018/19 campaign that saw them finish in fourth place - 12 points behind eventual winners Keynsham Town Ladies.
Discussing pre-season so far Cheal said: "We have competed with Wolves who are expected to win the Midlands League, we had Birmingham & West Midlands as well who are in that league come here and more than competed with those guys.
"It has been up and down but for us it is about finding a settled group of players and a new coaching philosophy that's coming together really nicely. Ultimately August 18 is the key one for us.
"We've got Cardiff next week - we go to their place - and then we play Briton Ferry. Two more games for us but six or seven more training sessions till then so lots more to come, lots still to work on, and hopefully our group start to settle down a little bit more now."
