The build up to the first pre-season fixture at Stratford Town on Saturday is well underway with plenty of hard work at the Energy Check Training Ground this week.
Robins boss Michael Duff and his management team have again been putting the squad through the hard work of gearing up for the new 2019/20 season on the turf at the club's training facility in Swindon Village.
Speaking about the latest progress in the camp, plus the recent injury news for forward Reuben Reid, Duff said:
"Generally it has been good. Obviously the Reuben thing wasn't ideal picking up that little injury but we're looking at getting that sorted and hopefully we'll have a new player so to speak in a couple of months. Other than that everything else has gone well."
On the newly added home pre-season friendly with Burnley under-23s Duff added: "Ideally we wouldn't be playing an under-23s team but it's so late in pre-season everyones schedule is already full so Burnley have done us a favour - hopefully they'll bring down a couple of squad players."
Duff's side head to Southern Premier Central Division side Stratford Town on Saturday for the first pre-season friendly. Kick-off at the Arden Garage Stadium is at 3pm.
