Loan signing Billy Waters couldn't help but express his delight at being back in a Cheltenham Town shirt when he spoke to the media following Saturday's home defeat to Tranmere Rovers.

The Northampton Town loanee, who agreed a return to the Jonny-Rocks Stadium on Friday, made his second debut as a second half substitute for Michael Duff's side.

He couldn't prevent the Robins from falling to their first home league loss since October, but was full of praise for the way the team were looking to play, and relished the opportunity to be back on the pitch at a club he holds close to his heart.

"I thought first half the boys were playing unbelievable football," Waters said after the game. "I knew there were a lot of good players in this team but the way they were bopping it was unbelievable.

"For all that good play sometimes you can get stung by one goal. I did think there were a lot of positives to take from today, compared to how we were playing when I was here a year and a half ago, it has come on loads in terms of how you actually play - the fans must be enjoying that.

"The gaffer has definitely got the boys playing really well. It's just about playing that well and keeping clean sheets and scoring more goals by playing that way."
