Preview: Duff on Tranmere

10 January 2019

Speaking at the club's Thursday morning press conference, Michael Duff has highlighted the threat of Tranmere Rovers forward James Norwood ahead of Saturday's clash at the Jonny-Rocks Stadium.

The former Forest Green Rovers striker has netted 18 times this season, helping last season's National League play-off winners propel themselves firmly into the top half of Sky Bet League Two.

Speaking to the media this morning, Duff is focusing on what his side can produce ahead of the game, instead of the threat Tranmere offer.

"Tranmere are a difficult one anyway because they flip between 4-4-2 and 4-4-1-1 and they can play 3-5-2 as well, and have bodies coming in," Duff said.

"It will be difficult to predict what they are going to do but we're at home, on a decentish type of run, so it's more about what we can deliver."

When it came to Norwood, Duff was keen to highlight that he'll be one to watch on Saturday.

"He's a good player. He holds it up well and wants to score a goal every single time it goes out wide he's the one running hard to get in the middle of the pitch to score a goal. He lives off his goals and his record speaks for itself. He's definitely one to watch. He's the obvious one to watch."
