Back in action and in among the goals on New Year’s Day, Kevin Dawson is delighted to be back and part of the Robins squad since returning from injury.
The former Yeovil man scored the fourth goal against his former side at Huish Park on Tuesday – making his third substitute appearance of the festive period following an injury that’s ruled him out since October.
“I had a couple of months out so I was absolutely desperate to get out on the training field with the boys and I’m really loving being back. To be on the training pitch let alone to be getting game time is a bonus so I’m happy,” Dawson said when speaking to the media before this weekend’s game at Crawley.
“The boys are all together and everyone can see that. Everything seems to be ticking along nicely. We need to stay focussed and keep going because we’re not out of it yet. We need to keep putting performances together and hopefully shoot up the league.”
Dawson will be part of the Robins squad again that travels to Crawley’s The People’s Pension Stadium this Saturday. Kick-off in Sussex is at 3pm.
