Midfielder becomes fourth January signing

29 January 2019

Cheltenham Town have bolstered their midifeld ranks with the signing of Jordan Tillson on a loan contract until the end of the season.

A fourth January arrival at the Jonny-Rocks Stadium, Tillson is a holding midfielder who moves to the Robins from League Two counterparts Exeter City.

He has made 25 first team appearances for the Grecians this season - his last appearance coming last weekend in their 1-0 win over the Robins forthcoming opponents this Saturday, Cambridge United.

The 25-year-old has been a part of the set-up at Exeter since 2012, and has had loan spells previously in non-league with Gloucester City, Chippenham Town and Weston-super-Mare.

Tillson commented on his transfer to the Jonny-Rocks Stadium saying: "Speaking to Michael he sold the idea of coming here quite easily. I'm looking forward to getting started and playing some games.

"I'm looking forward to experiencing something different in a new environment - meeting new people - it'll be nice to see the change."

He follows Cameron Pring, Billy Waters and Charlie Raglan in joining the club this month and brings the number of loan players in the squad up to five.

Tillson's player sponsorship is now available for the remainder of this season. To become his sponsor get in touch with Commercial Manager John Finnigan on 01242 573558.
