McAlinden heads out on loan again

18 January 2019

Having returned from his loan spell at Brackley Town, front man Liam McAlinden has now gone back to the National League North, joining Brackley’s league rivals Kidderminster Harriers on an initial month-long loan.

The 25-year-old made six appearances for Brackley, finding the back of the net once in a 3-1 win over Nuneaton Borough, and now links up with a Kidderminster side currently sitting ninth in the division.

Former Wolves man McAlinden joined Cheltenham in the summer and made his debut as a starter in the opening day defeat against Crawley Town at the Jonny-Rocks Stadium.

He will join a Harriers outfit that includes former Robins men Lee Vaughan, Russ Penn and Ed Williams.

His new club travel to play-off positioned AFC Telford United on Saturday where he could make his debut.

Earlier today George Lloyd confirmed a loan move to fellow National League North club Hereford, where he previously spent three months earlier in the campaign, until the end of the season.
