Reaction: Duff on Yeovil win

5 February 2019

Seeing his side grind out a victory provided plenty of satisfaction for Robins boss Michael Duff after watching his team earn all three points in a 1-0 win over Yeovil Town.

Luke Varney's superb second half strike was enough to help Cheltenham make it a season double over the Glovers on a wet and windy night at the Jonny-Rocks Stadium.

It's another three points that moves Duff's side away from the League Two relegation zone, and from opponents Yeovil, and the man in the dugout was pleased to see his team win the game in the style they did.

"Sometimes you've got to grind one out," Duff said. "I actually said on Thursday in a press conference that's what we need to do a little bit better. Sometimes can we nick a draw when we've not been great or can we pinch a win?

"I think we probably did pinch the win tonight. I don't think we were great, but, we've been brilliant this season and you only have to go back to Crawley a few weeks ago when we were very good and lost. So there are very fine margins in this league.

"Sometimes it's one or two moments in the game and I think we just didn't really get going today. We didn't really pass the ball at all. We were a little bit edgey on a difficult night when it was wet and windy. It was a good three points."
