Preview: Duff on Yeovil

4 February 2019

With several new additions and a change in their set-up, manager Michael Duff is expecting a different Yeovil Town side to be visiting the Jonny-Rocks Stadium on Tuesday to the one his charges faced on New Year's Day.

The Robins kick-started 2019 with an eye-catching 4-1 victory at the beginning of January at Huish Park, but now host the Glovers on Tuesday evening in the reverse fixture.

Speaking at his Monday morning press conference, Duff is expecting a different type of challenge for his side in a 19th against 21st

He said: "They've changed their shape a little bit and got into a three in the middle of the pitch. They look a little bit more solid because they were quite gung-ho when we played them earlier in the season, they were almost a 4-2-4 at times.

"They look like they've shored it up a little bit and signed a couple of players. Obviously Ryan Seager who we had in training with us so they've brought in quite a few."

Tuesday's game may also see the return of a player who left the club just a short while ago. Craig Alcock has joined Yeovil after leaving the Jonny-Rocks Stadium at the end of his short-term deal with the club.

"His contract ended so he was able to go and sign for whoever he wanted," Duff added. "We knew there was a good chance he'd end up going to Yeovil. He knows the manager well and started his career there as well.

"Apart from Tuesday we wish him all the luck in the world because he was a great bloke. He did probably more behind the scenes than what he did on the pitch. He did okay when he played but he didn't play as many games as I'm sure he would have wanted to."
