Seàn Long is eyeing up Saturday's trip to Mansfield Town as an opportunity to respond to the disappointment of last week's FA Cup second round exit to Port Vale.
The 24-year-old won the early penalty that was converted by Reuben Reid in the defeat to Vale, and having returned from a recent hamstring strain is eager to play his part in helping Cheltenham continue their run at the top end of League Two.
After a week of work on the training pitches Saturday's game will come as a welcome relief to Long and his teammates against a Mansfield side that have the potential to cause plenty of problems this weekend.
"If you look at their squad they have a bundle of good players at this level," Long said. "Maybe it hasn't clicked for them at the minute but with the players they have they can cause any team problems.
"We're all dying to get back out and put right what happened in the second half on Saturday.
"The good thing about this league is the games come thick and fast. We have an opportunity now at the weekend against Mansfield to put things right."
