Michael Duff is expecting a Plymouth Argyle side on Boxing Day that will be even tougher to beat than the team they faced back in September.

The first meeting between the two teams this season at Argyle's Home Park saw Duff's men take all three points back home to Gloucestershire with a 2-0 win.

However the Robins boss sees the visitors to the Jonny-Rocks Stadium on Boxing Day as a team that will have built on the already powerful threat they carry having had an opportunity to settle into the season under the guidance of their boss Ryan Lowe - who helped Bury to promotion from League Two last season.

"I said it when we were down at their place that they would be up and around it - they weren't at the time," Duff said.

"Now they're coming and I think they'll go again in January and I think they'll be looking to get into the top three I'd imagine.

"The next three games are all teams in and around us, Plymouth being the first one.

"I think there will be a decent crowd. Hopefully we can turn a few of our draws into a win but we need to perform.

"I thought we were excellent down there at their place. They came onto us second half but we moved the ball better.

"We'll need to be as good if not better than that because they are a better team now than what they were back then because they were quite new, the new managers ideas were still coming across, he has had three months to work on them since then."
