Robins boss Michael Duff is anticipating a tough test on the horizon at Northampton Town on Sunday against a team in fine form at home and no doubt eager to bounce back from a heavy Boxing Day defeat at Crawley.
He takes his side to the PTS Academy Stadium looking to extend the nine match away unbeaten run which has ensured Cheltenham are well in amongst it at the top end of League Two this season.
Another side right at the top of the table are Sunday's opponents. They suffered a shock 4-0 defeat at Crawley on Boxing Day but head into the final match of 2019 in excellent form on home soil.
"It is going to be a tough game," Duff said. "Games are coming thick and fast. We both got beat in the last few days so they'll be smarting from a 4-0.
"We're disappointed with the result more than the performance, I thought with the performance we did enough to get something out of the game although we weren't brilliant.
"They've won six on the spin at home so it's going to be a real tough test."
