Alex Addai is determined that Cheltenham use the recent FA Cup second round loss against Saturday's opponents Port Vale as a learning tool for this weekend's trip to Vale Park.

Despite being ahead in the cup, Vale scored three times quickly in the second half at the Jonny-Rocks Stadium to ensure it would be them featuring in the third round of this season's competition.

It's a game that the squad have studied both in the classroom and on the training pitches and Addai would love to use that as a positive as the team look to extend their excellent unbeaten run away from home this weekend.

"I think we've learned from our mistakes," he said. "We've analysed the game and we've seen where we've gone wrong and we've seen where we can hurt them so hopefully we can capitalise on that and go away from home and win.

"We are a difficult team to beat both home and away so hopefully we can continue that throughout the season and keep growing as a team.

"On the flip side going forward take it to teams a little bit more, score more goals, create more chances. I know we create a load of chances but hopefully we can create more."
