Preview: Flinders on Carlisle

Following his clean sheet performance on Saturday at Morecambe, goalkeeper Scott Flinders is looking forward to the home comforts that await over the course of this week at the Jonny-Rocks Stadium.

The former Crystal Palace stopper helped the Robins earn a point on the road on Saturday, and now he'll line up in goal on Tuesday for the visit of Carlisle United to Cheltenham, ahead of another home fixture with Swindon Town at the weekend.

Speaking to the media this morning at the Energy Check Training Ground, Flinders feels the strength of Cheltenham's identity on home soil plays a huge part in the way the team plays, with wrestling the tricky away form another current target for this team.

"The gaffer wanted a clean sheet on Saturday first and foremost and we got that," he said. "It’s building blocks away from home, but at home we still need to do the fundamentals of working hard – then let our game express ourselves.

"I think I’ve said before many a time last season – our identity now comes through how we want to play, especially at home, we still need to back that up away from home."
