Cheltenham Town boss Michael Duff sees Tuesday's Carabao Cup tie at Bristol Rovers as an opportunity for his team to improve their away form against a side in the division above.

The Robins have only lost once on home soil in competitve action in 90 minutes since last October but have struggled to match their results at the Jonny-Rocks Stadium on the road, heading down the M5 with just one victory on their travels since New Year's Day.

Duff's side have only won once in their last 10 away trips but coming off the back of an impressive League Two victory at home to Scunthorpe, the manager sees the cup tie at the Memorial Stadium as an opportunity to address their struggles away from Gloucestershire.

"We need to focus on what we're doing," he said. "They're a league above us and we're away from home so there's two factors that are already difficult but we do need to improve our away form whether that be in a cup game or in the league.

"We need to deliver better performances away from home, so we're focused on ourselves more than them."
