Doyle-Hayes on joining Cheltenham

2 August 2019

Jake Doyle-Hayes became Cheltenham's second new loan arrival on Thursday ahead of Saturday's season opener at Leyton Orient.

The Republic of Ireland under-19 international has signed at the Jonny-Rocks Stadium on a season-long loan from Premier League outfit Aston Villa.

The newest face in Michael Duff's squad already has loan experience from a spell at Cambridge United last season and he is looking forward to getting going as quickly as possible at the Jonny-Rocks.

"The form last season was unbelievable towards the end of the season since Christmas," Doyle-Hayes said. "When I was at Cambridge just watching the league Cheltenham had a really good end to the season so hopefully we can keep the momentum going.

"I'm a box-to-box midfielder, I can get up and down, and hopefully chip in with a few goals as well."

Doyle-Hayes could make his debut for the club on Saturday when Leyton Orient are the opponents on the first day of the new campaign. The ticket office has tickets available for that game to buy up to 3pm today. They will also be available on the turnstiles at Orient.

You can become Doyle-Hayes player sponsor for either his home or away shirt. Get in touch by emailing luke.saunders@ctfc.com to find out availability.
