Loan watch: Lapworth saves from the spot

16 April 2019

Under-18s goalkeeper Freddie Lapworth saved a penalty to help Lydney Town to a convincing 4-1 away win in the Hellenic Premier Divison on Saturday.

The first year stopper helped Lydney claim an impressive three points on the road, with teammate Tom Handley also featuring in the back line for Lydney.

Manny Duku featured for 65 minutes in FC Halifax Town's 2-2 National League draw with Bromley, while Josh Debayo wasn't involved in the Dover Athletic matchday squad as they gained a late win at Barrow.

In the National League North Liam McAlinden played the whole 90 minutes for Kidderminster Harriers as they won 1-0 at FC United of Manchester.

Elsewhere in the National League South, Tom Smith played the full game for Bath City at Twerton Park as they were defeated by St Albans City.

From the two remaining under-18s players out on loan, Tyreece Briscoe and Will Dawes both started for Tuffley Rovers at Glevum Park on Saturday. They couldn't prevent the Gloucester side from losing 3-0 to Shrivenham however.
