Ladies to take on Swindon Town at the Jonny-Rocks Stadium

23 April 2019

It's a Cheltenham and Swindon Town double-header this weekend as Cheltenham Town Ladies take on Swindon Town Ladies on Saturday night following the men's teams League Two battle in the afternoon.

The Ladies will face up to their counterparts from Swindon in the FA Women's National League Division One South West in a 7pm kick-off after the male sides have faced up to eachother in their penultimate League fixture earlier in the day.

It's the ultimate double header to end a successful season for both the male and female teams who represent the Robins.

Michael Duff's team have secured a solid mid-table finish and boast an excellent home record, while for Alex Cheal's Ladies squad they are looking to clinch a place in the top three of their division having already won the Gloucestershire Women's Trophy recently.

Entry to the match between the Ladies and Swindon is FREE and Cheltenham fans are being encouraged to stay on at the Jonny-Rocks Stadium following the afternoon's match to get behind the Ladies in an important end of season clash.

Swindon occupy 9th position in the National League Division One South West and when the Ladies travelled to Wiltshire earlier in the season claimed a 2-0 win thanks to goals from Annie Martin and Ella Hitchcox.

The game is an exciting opportunity to strengthen the link between the male and female set-ups representing Cheltenham Town, and comes as part of the new season ticket offer launched by the Robins last week which includes the opportunity to watch Ladies matches as part of your season ticket.

Ahead of the game Alex Cheal will be taking part in the club's Thursday morning press conference at the Energy Check Training Ground previewing his teams penultimate fixture of the campaign.

Season tickets for Cheltenham Town's 2019/20 campaign are now on sale. Prices have been cut, a new age bracket for young adults between the ages of 16 and 22 has been launched, and all under-16s will receive a free shirt as part of their season ticket.
